Dear Li Yun,
I haven’t contacted you for a long time. How are you doing? Is it time to go back to school? How about your vacation? What classes will you choose this semester? I have not only signed up for science, math and English, but also taken some other classes I enjoy, including Chinese, music, and art. Recently, we had an assignment in Chinese class, and the topic was to compare high school life between the U.S. and China. I would like to learn about high school life in China from you.
What classes do high school students in your school need to take? How many classes are there in one day? What societies or clubs can students take part in? Where can students do volunteer work? I feel quite stressed this semester. I usually try to relax by playing sports and chatting with my friends. If you are also stressed, what do you do to reduce your stress?
Does your school have a sister school? Our school has established a sister school relationship with a school in Beijing. During the summer vacation this year, I participated in the exchange program organized by our school. I especially enjoyed living with a host family because I could learn the language while experiencing the local culture. Through this exchange activity, I greatly improved my Chinese proficiency.
This year, I want to work hard and do a good job in Chinese class. I hope my Chinese proficiency can "go up a level". I look forward to hearing from you.
Wish you a big progress in studies!
David
